Prof. Dr. Sven David is a highly respected, hands-on, and results-oriented expert in transformation and crisis leadership. With a foundational banking background and over 25 years of C-level and board experience, he has personally guided more than 40 mandates and successfully averted over 30 insolvencies, consistently delivering concrete solutions for complex restructurings across diverse industries.

His career includes a pivotal role at KPMG, where he served as a Restructuring Manager with statutory power of attorney (Prokura) and helped build the firm’s national Restructuring Practice. This experience sharpened his ability to translate strategic concepts into effective, enforceable measures — a skill he has since honed over two decades as an independent strategic advisor.

As a Professor with a PhD in Business Administration  (dissertation: “External Crisis Management from a Banking Perspective”) and a valued VNIDA Partner, he brings academic rigor and uncompromising integrity to every engagement. His proven leadership and resolve are the benchmark for the quality and success of the transformations we achieve for our clients in Vietnam.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Prof. Dr. David is deeply committed to fostering strong business and community ties in Vietnam. He is an active member of the German Business Association (GBA) and EuroCham Vietnam. Furthermore, his long-standing engagement with the Rotary family, including co-founding two Rotary Clubs, underscores his dedication to leadership, social responsibility, and community building. This commitment extends to his support for an orphanage in Dong Nai, reflecting his profound connection to Vietnam and his belief in making a tangible difference.
