VIET Transformation Advisors is a high-end boutique consultancy based in Vietnam. We specialize in corporate transformation, restructuring, and governance advisory – tailored to the unique dynamics of Vietnam’s private sector.
The firm was founded and is led by Prof. Dr. Sven David, a German transformation and restructuring expert with more than 25 years of executive and consulting experience across Europe and Asia.
We work exclusively with Vietnam-based family businesses, private conglomerates, and long-term investors. Our advisory model is lean, senior-driven, and results-focused. Projects are always led by the founder or by experienced Associate/Full/Equity Partners. When needed, freelance experts are involved – but always under central accountability and with clear leadership responsibility.
The Role
We are seeking experienced transformation professionals for freelance roles in operational performance and change. Ideal candidates are former COOs, factory directors, restructuring leads, or operations executives with a strong track record in managing complex operational transformation.
This is not a pure advisory role – it requires direct involvement, on-the-ground execution, and the ability to lead teams through real-world change. Cultural intelligence, clarity in communication, and the ability to win trust at all levels of an organization are essential.
Outstanding freelance contributors may be considered for longer-term collaboration or even a future partner track within our firm.
What We Expect
- At least 10 years of operational leadership experience, ideally in industry, transformation, or restructuring
- Proven ability to lead and execute change initiatives in complex, high-pressure environments
- Hands-on experience with performance improvement, process optimization, or turnaround management
- Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and drive measurable business results
- Structured thinking, clear communication, and situational leadership
- High integrity, discretion, and a professional, low-ego mindset
- Fluent in English; Vietnamese language skills are an advantage but not mandatory
