Vietnam Investment Review has published my article “Motivations of major resolution will entice long-term foreign investors” in its July 20-26, 2026 issue.
The article examines Vietnam’s Resolution No. 10-NQ/TW and the country’s next phase of foreign investment attraction. The core question is no longer simply how Vietnam can attract more capital, but how foreign investment can help build stronger domestic capabilities, deepen supplier linkages, support technology transfer, and create more durable operating advantages for long-term investors.
I focus in particular on the shift from capital volume to capability building, the importance of operational depth, the role of supplier development, and the need for foreign investors to translate commitments into governance, management reporting, and disciplined execution.
